Graduates must bring their herald card, regalia, and hood (if a graduate student). These items are available through the bookstore located on your home campus. Caps, gowns, and tassels are free to graduates and will be available for pickup beginning Monday, December 4th. To accommodate those attending rehearsal on Thursday, December 7th, the Bookstore will close at 5:00 p.m. Master graduate students must buy an appropriate master's hood.

You must bring an official ID to receive your regalia.

Review the commencement stoles and cords policy here.

Please direct stoles and cords questions to: Studentprograms@uamont.edu

Commencement is a time to celebrate and enjoy your accomplishments. However, it is, also, ceremonial. You are asked to honor the spirit of this important occasion by conducting yourself in a manner that is respectful of your guests, the guests of others, your fellow graduates, and you. Graduates are expected to honor the dignity associated with commencement and maintain an appropriate measure of decorum during the ceremony.

Graduates shall refrain from unsafe and/or disruptive behavior, which includes but is not limited to, noisemakers or other loud devices, taking selfies while on the Commencement platform, pranks, dancing of any kind, stepping, stomping, hopping, chanting and/or vocal or visual disruptions. Graduates shall proceed across the stage in a measured, safe, and professional manner. The time to celebrate more exuberantly is after the ceremony has concluded and all graduates have exited the facility.
